  4. The OS456‚Ñ¢/OS535‚Ñ¢ interfaces contain a tape recorder control output jack. When a remotely controlable tape recorder is connected to this jack, WAVE can start and stop the recorder. The user can manually strart and stop the recorder by using the Tape sub menu of the Radio menu.

  21. The Enable Tape item is used to manually start and stop the recorder. If the recorder is running the item will be checked. Clicking on the "Tape Recorder" Icon on the Floating Window will accomplish the same thing.

  23. The Track Delay menu item allows WAVE to start the recorder when a contact is recognized and stop the recorder when the contact is lost and the delay period has expired. When in this mode, the Icon on the Floating Window indicates the status of the recorder.

  25. The Mute Audio item on the Radio menu will turm the radio's internal speaker off and on. It doesn't affect the audio output on the back of the radio. This item is the same as the "Speaker" Icon on the Floating Window.
